About Scalp Micropigmentation:
Scalp micropigmentation (SMP) is a cosmetic procedure that involves tattooing tiny dots on the scalp to mimic the look of a closely-shaved head, to create the illusion of hair density for those experiencing hair loss, or to camouflage scars on the scalp.
SMP is a life-changing treatment that has helped many people regain their self-esteem and feel more comfortable in their own skin, making it an extremely rewarding treatment to be able to offer to clients. The treatment is relatively painless, with minimal downtime required.
What to expect during your course:
The course spans 3 days, where students can expect:
- Day 1: Theory - recap on pre-learning, covering consultation techniques, health and safety, equipment, mapping and some hands-on machine practice
- Day 2: Practical Theory - technique refinement, focusing on practicing on different mediums and hairline styles
- Day 3: Practical Models - working on live model/s, with your trainer (1-2 models)
Self-directed, at home practice is encouraged (approx. 20 hours)
Please note: Students will be required to provide their own model/s for the practical training component.
$1000 Deposit is required to secure your training date/s- please choose what dates you would like to attend and select the deposit option. The remaining amount is due prior to course commencement. We offer both third party and internal payment plan options.
Required pre-learning requirements:
- A current Infection Control certificate (HLTINF005 or SHBBINF002)
- Completion of online pre-learning modules (provided)
